- Calim, a djinni lord, arrives in Faerûn together with his entourage of genies and their human and halfling slaves—collectively called the Djen—in the Great Arrival. Calim swiftly claims all lands south-west of the Marching Mountains as the Calim Empire, and bases his rule at Calimport.[1]
