- The now-vanished citadel of Lothtia on the Shining Plains is attacked by the orcs of Thoktor Ironfangs. The citadel is defended by the Paladins of the Hand, twelve champions of Torm, one of whom—Harondath—wields the Veloghon of Vigilance.[1]

- Circa: Finder Wyvernspur makes a failed attempt to create a clone of himself.[3]
- The Flame of the Spirit is stolen from a Tymora-worshiping adventurer in Elturel by the thief Fargoth Labbard. The gem incinerates Fargoth, then another thief who stole it from him. Finally, it is safely collected by a servant of the mage Helgarth.[4]
