Miscellaneous

  • The master jewelers of Procampur craft a new crown for the coronation of King Palaghard I of Cormyr. The crown is stolen by the legendary pirate Immurk the Invincible, who raided the merchant ship carrying the precious cargo. The crime is so audacious that Palaghard believes that no one could be so brave, and that the Procampan jewelers must be cheating him instead. He musters his armies and nearly declares war on Procampur before being corrected. The crown is eventually recovered, but is so heavy, grandiose, and ugly that it is only used for a few months.[1][2][3]
  • The Champions Vigilant, knightly order of Tethyr are founded.[4]

1164 DR in politics

  • Immurk's crime signifies a rise in piracy on the Inner Sea, and the nations around it began building warships to protect their merchants and root out the pirates from their hideouts.[3]

Migrations in 1164 DR

1164 DR in environment

  • Driven by the settling of Voonlar, humans continue to clear the forests south of the Moonsea, which are home to elves.[3]
