Deaths in 1206 DR
- Jorist Archneie, the self-styled Sealord of All Faerûn and high priest of Umberlee, dies a fat, blustering tyrant. A giant wave claims his corpse from the top of his tower. His many children and grandchildren fight amongst themselves over who will inherit The Orglara. A lesser priest steals it and goes into hiding while they battle.[1]

1206 DR in conflicts
- The fifth Emperor Chin of Shou Lung leads attacks on the pirates of the Celestial Sea, sacking their havens on Akari Island and elsewhere. Wa, a victim itself of the pirate raids, recognizes Shou Lung's claims to several small islands in the Celestial Sea,[3] and shogun Eiko grants ownership to them after assisting the Shou against the pirates.[4]
