- One of Vaasa's greatest explorers, Palus Frohm, begins his exploration of the Great Glacier. It lasts twenty years and he writes of his explorations in Blood and Ice: Survival in the Great Glacier.[6]
- Waevor's Wagon carrying some 60,000 silver pieces is hijacked and never recovered.[3]
