1252 DR in environment
- Vine-blight ravishes grape orchards, meaning there is very little wine made this year.[1]
1252 DR in conflicts
- The Company of the Black Snake is wiped out by a rival adventuring group, with Bedwyn Fayr and Pep Greenfields as the only survivors.[2]
- Summer: Poor grape harvests in the Purple Hills region of Tethyr precipitate the Wine Blight Insurrection in which peasant farmers refuse to tithe the usual quantity of wine to the Duke of Ankramir. Rather than surrender the wine to the duke's soldiers, the farmers broke most of the casks and threw them into the Sea of Swords. This came to be known as the Battle of the Broken Vats.[3]
Miscellaneous
- Due to growing undead problems in the City of the Dead in Waterdeep, this portion of the city is walled and a lasting curfew is enforced.[4]
