- Baeron, Open Lord of Waterdeep, dies of fever. Shilarn, wife of Baeron, jumps onto her husband's funeral pyre and burns to death.[1][2]

- Lhestyn, daughter of Baeron and Shilarn, changes from a Hidden Lord to an Open Lord of Waterdeep.[2][3]
- Wai Gada Shinzu becomes the eighth emperor of the Lui Dynasty of T'u Lung, and his cousin and regent Wai Yeh Yin disappeared shortly after. T'u Lung opens diplomatic relations with Shou Lung, defining the border between the two and halting large-scale military incursions (small Shou forces continue to pursue criminals and others across the border).[2]
