- Lhestyn dies, passing on the position of Open Lord of Waterdeep to Piergeiron the Paladinson.[4][5]
- Laershala of the Emerald Eyes is killed during a battle against several Cormyrean corsairs. As a result the pirates of the Sea of Fallen Stars split into numerous factions.[6]
