- Having lost his family, his title, and most of his army, Lord Vanrak Moonstar renounces his faith in Shar and begs Selûne for forgiveness for his past crimes—particularly the slaughter he committed in the High House of Stars in 1182 DR. In a desperate act of redemption, he commits suicide with a sun blade.[1]
- After Vanrak's suicide, Keresta Delvingstone, a vampire cleric of Shar, takes control of Vanrakdoom, its remaining cultists, and Umbraxakar the shadow dragon.[1]
