- The fleet of Turmish engages the pirate fleet of Evendur Highcastle, emerging victorious thanks in part to Anton Marivaldi.[1]
- The Shadovar besieges Arabel and Suzail until Nightal 1 when both sieges are broken and many shadovar fall.[2]
- Uktar 2: The Shadovar sack Marsember.[3]
- Nightal: The last battle of the Mulhorandi rebellion starts.[4]
- Nightal 15: Gromph Baenre summons Demogorgon to the Underdark.[5]
- Nightal 26: Enlil returnes to Toril and manifests in Djerad Thymar in the shape of a Dragonborn, thereby choosing the race as his new protégés. Gilgeam and his people return from Abeir to Toril and immediately move against Djerad Thymar to reclaim the lands of Unther from Tymanther, starting the First Tymanther-Unther War.[6]

- Gabulla was possessed by the pit fiend Baazka and, under his manipulation, convinced her leader Shorg to invade the village of Julkoun, following the suggestion of one of the Red Wizards of Thay.[10]
1486 DR in deities
- Chauntea drops several earthmotes in the flooded Arrabar River to give her followers enough time to bring in the harvest.[3]
- Helm resumes his position among the gods[3]
- Nobanion, still under Malar's control, is tasked to capture Stedd Whitehorn, the boy Chosen of Lathander, but Stedd and his companions heal him of his corruption by blue fire. He returns to his natural state, and introduces himself to Stedd and his companions; in his reinstated form, he is no longer under Malar's control. He guides the young Chosen through the wilds of Gulthandor, parting ways just before Stedd and company enter Turmish.[11]

- The Great Rain falls for several months, slowly refilling the Sea of Fallen Stars which revitalizes former port cities and the island of Ilighon.[12]

1486 DR in politics
- Alturiak: King Connerad Brawnanvil officially steps down from the throne of Mithral Hall to become Bruenor Battlehammer's General in his march on Gauntlgrym. Having declared his General Dagnabbet as his heir the previous year, Dagnabbet becomes the first Queen of Mithral Hall.[15]
- In a surprise move, King Emerus Warcrown declares his abdication from the throne of Citadel Felbarr, naming Parson Glaive his successor.[15]
- Nightal 5: Crown prince Baerovus Obarskyr abdicates the throne in favor of his sister Raedra Obarskyr, who is officially crowned a tenday later.[2]
