- The Dark Alliance of humanoid races marches out of Thar and assaults Northkeep. More than 40,000 priests, mages, and shamans of the alliance perform a dark ritual that causes the city to sink beneath the Dragons' Sea. The allied forces also sack the nearby settlement of Phlan.[1]
- In the lands that would become Sembia, the cities of Chondathan and Chauncelgaunt are attacked by orc and goblin raiders. The battles continue for fifteen more years.[1]

- Circa: A large meteorite falls to earth near the Vale of Ixtzul in Far Payit. The impact is felt all over Maztica. The meteorite is in fact an enormous egg that hatches H'Calos the Star Worm. The beast begins to feed.[1]
- Circa: The Golden Age of the Payit begins, lasting six hundred years. It is a time of peace and learning, with the sciences of astronomy, medicine, writing, and water-collection flourishing.[1]
