450 DR in conflicts
- A hin army from Luiren defeats the ogre marauders in the Lluirwood in the Battle of Three Stumps.[1]
- Midwinter: Prince Strohm I of Tethyr kills Qysar Amahl Shoon VII of the Shoon Imperium, avenging the death of his father.[1]
- With the death of the qysar, the Shoon Imperium crumbles. Countless nobles and rulers in the Imperium struggle to seize the throne or dominate whatever remains. Major battles are fought in the streets of every major Calishite city, resulting in over 75 pashas, vizars, sultans, and other nobles killing each other.[1]
450 DR in politics
- The Imperium falls and the Age of Shoon comes to an end.[1]
- Strohm I is crowned king of Tethyr.[2]
- Fahd el Daosiin, a former pasha of shipwrights and harbormasters, becomes Syl-Pasha of Calimport.[1]
- The viceroy of Tashluta and his arrogant Shoon wife are swiftly slain, resulting in independence for the Tashalans.[1]
- The people of Thindol also gain independence after centuries. This is in part thanks to the influence of yuan-ti agents among their rulers.[1]
Miscellaneous
- On Alturiak 4, Iryklathagra plunders Shoonach and gives her word never to use Tethyrian land as a hunting ground.[3]
- Spell-Major Zaos Durothil loses the Artblade while battling the red dragon Edallisufanxar. For a time, the sword was replaced by Faervian, a Baneblade, created by the human wizard Demron.[4]
