- The four cities of Minsorran on the border of Amn are struck by a terrific blizzard. Trapped by snow for over a month, the entire population fall preys to the white dragon Icehauptannarthanyx. As the snow clears, the cities are found empty and believed to be deserted.[1]

- A group of humans, that included the wizard Tharilim of Calimport, die on an expedition in the Spine of the World when the red dragon Hoondarrh devours them.[2]
600 DR in politics
- On a hunting trip in the Gnollwatch Mountains, King Reinhar III of Dambrath is killed by giants, along with his two sons. A short-lived war of succession ensues, but Reinhar's nephew is crowned king, becoming Reinhar IV.[1]
Migrations in 600 DR
- Circa: In Maztica, human tribes leave the Vale of Ixtzul. The task of guarding the beast H'Calos falls to the Bacar, a species of giant, intelligent ants.[1]
Miscellaneous
- Circa: Modern sailing ships make safe sea travel possible for the first time. Many Faerûnian nations begin to ply the Inner Sea and other seas, though most journeys are still made within sight of land.[1]
