An aba (pronounced: /ˈɑːbɑː/ AH-bah[3]) was a sleeveless, light fabric robe or cloak worn by men and women to protect against the elements, common to peoples from desert climes, such as Calishites,[1] Zakharans,[3] or the Bedine.[4][5]
Variants[]
A heavier, more expensive type of aba, called a jellaba was worn in winter[1] or at night.[4]
