The Adder River ran south to north from the Adder Peaks to empty into the Bay of Chessenta through the Adder Swamp.[1]

The Adder River was described as being a wide, slow flowing river with muddy water. Lush vegetation surrounded the river for its entire length, hiding plenty of dangerous snakes.

A community of werecrocodiles was also known to inhabit its waters near the Adder Swamp.[1]
