The Agency of Cartographic Investigations was an organization that provided geographic research and analysis services to its clients in the late 14th century DR.[1]
History[]
By the late 14th century DR, the Agency of Cartographic Investigations had several branches across the Sword Coast, including an office in Waterdeep, the City of Splendors. In the 1372 DR, a sleazy noble Feldran Exeltis of the Baldurian Exeltis family ordered an investigation into the location and wealth of his new paramour, "Princess" Soliana of the mysterious Kingdom of Fanloc. The agency promised the lordling over an official letter that wherever the Kingdom of Fanloc was, it would be found. Of course, that could never happen as Fanloc did not exist.[1]
