Airy water was an arcane alteration spell that allowed the caster to transform liquids into breathable substances.[2][3][4][5]
Effects[]
This spell transformed liquids such as water into breathable substances. The affected area was usually a bubble of airy water around the caster that moved with them. Water-breathing creatures could not breath or swim within the bubble.[3][4][5]
Components[]
In addition to verbal and somatic components,[3][4][5] this spell required as a material component a handful of alkaline salts[2][3][4][5] or bromine salts to cast.[3][4][5]
History[]
Airy water was invented in −531 DR by the Netherese arcanist Fjord with the name Fjord's distortion.[1] This spell was used commonly by noble marids.[6]
