Al-Sayaj Mountains, also called the Mountains of Desolation, were an important geographical feature of the Cities of the Pantheon in Zakhara in 1367 DR.[note 1]
Al-Sayaj Mountains rose along the southeastern region of the Cities of the Pantheon, creating a natural border with the Cities of the Ancients.
The mountains, and surrounding foothills, were the source of several vital rivers of the region including Al-Naqus, Al-Hadi, Abdo and Al-Jama.
