Aluena Halacanter was a sorceress and a member of the Harpers who led the community of Serpent's Cowl in the late mid–to–late 14th century DR.[1][2][3]

She was known for both her beauty and the influence she wielded in her area of the Western Heartlands.[5]
Activities[]
Aluena trained pegasi in her Heartwing Estate, which was located north of the crossing of Boareskyr Bridge. She employed staff members who to teach people how to mount the winged horses.[1] One of these fine specimens could fetch up to 5,000 gp from a dedicated buyer.[2][3][6]

Expectantly, Aluena was acquainted with Elminster, and was at one point owed a favor by the wizened sage.[7]
History[]
Some time in the mid–14th century DR, the adventuring company known as the Seekers found one of Aluena's errant pegasi and returned it to her estate.[5] She accompanied the group to look for the steed's missing rider, and found the young man's body in the nest of some giant spiders.[7]
After her adventurer allies left the settlement that former around Boareskyr Bridge, Aluena shifted her priorities. As of the Year of Rogue Dragons, 1373 DR, Aluena was doing all she could to protect her estate at Serpent's Cowl from the growing threat of yuan-ti from the Forest of Wyrms.[3]
