Apes were a type of animal found in tropical regions. They were usually quite shy, but would fight if threatened or cornered.[3]
Habitat[]
Many species of apes could be found in the jungles of Chult.[4]
One curious species of apes from Chult was a size of a human child with bright white and yellow fur. Their faces had a shaggy frill and blood-red fangs, which the apes exposed when trying to intimidate others. They had notably long arms and bristling spines on the backs.[5]
Trivia[]
An ape could be summoned by the conjure animals spell.[6]
