Arctic foxes were a small mammal related to the fox.[2][1]
Abilities[]
Arctic foxes had a keen sense of smell. They were capable of detecting another creatures scent over a distance of up to 30 feet (9.1 meters). Its white fur provided blended in with the snow and ice of the tundra.[2]
Behavior[]
Arctic foxes, like their cousins, were cunning creatures.[4]
Combat[]
When faced with a larger opponents, arctic foxes fled instead of standing their ground.[2]
Ecology[]
Arctic foxes lived alone or in mating pairs. They were found in cold plains and tundra.[2] In the Realms, arctic foxes could be encountered in the northern Hordelands[5] and the High Ice.[6]
Uses[]
The pelt of the arctic fox was used as clothing by the frost folk.[7]
