Arrows of detonation were arrows enchanted with volatile and dangerous magics.[1]
Powers[]
When fired, arrows of detonation flew towards their targets and upon collision, exploded in a debilitating burst of fire and shrapnel. The exploding effect was similar to that of the fireball spell.[1]
History[]
In the late 14th century DR, arrows of detonation could be found on the Sword Coast, notably, in the cities of Athkatla in Amn[2] and sold at the Sorcerous Sundries of Baldur's Gate.[1] Some such ammunition could be recovered from Durlag's Tower on the Sword Coast.[3] Arrows of detonation were also among enchanted ammunition sold at the gladiatorial arena in Thay, ran by Dennaton, a Red Wizard.[4]
