Auld Wyrmish,[3] also spelled Auld Wormish,[4] was the most ancient of the Draconic languages,[3] being present during the Dawn Age.[5][note 1] It was the precursor to the more widely spoken Aragrakh and the Draconic spoken in the Present Age.[3][6]

Derivations[]

Over time Auld Wyrmish developed and changed into having distinctly formal and casual (or "low") versions of the language. These versions were referred to by sages of other races as[5] "Auld High Wyrmish"[3] or "Old High Wyrmish"[7] and "Wyrmish" respectively. The former was utilized in early draconic spells.[3]
