Azkhazan was a mage who lived in Calimport some time before the late 14th century DR.[1]

He discovered the Shadowtome hidden in a concealed room in the back wall of a temple of Mystra in Calimport. Azkhazan met his end adventuring in the mountains north of Iriaebor when he was killed by a band of hobgoblins.[1][2]
