The Bailiff of the Wide was the official of Baldur's Gate who organized, scheduled and recorded the information about every merchant and vendor who set up shop within the Upper City's open marketplace. They worked under the authority of the Baldurian Purse Master, the officer charged with overseeing city funds.[1]
