Plot[]
Chapter 1: Traveling along the Trade Way[]
In Midsummer of an unknown year an adventurer heard rumors that the Cult of the Dragon was planning to interrupt the Midsummer celebrations at Baldur's Gate. The adventurer decided to travel there and investigate the rumors. On their way they met Ofydd who asked them to save the travelers kidnapped by a group of goblins led by the hobgoblin called Gnur. The adventurer tracked the goblin camp and made them regret attacking the travelers. The goblins had built a wargong from the shields of the captured. Releasing the shields and returning each of them to its owner freed them from their magical imprisonment letting Ofydd sleep much more soundly with the menacing goblins defeated.
Some time later, traveling through the Ardeep Forest the adventurer had spotted a cleric of Oghma attacked by a group of drow and assisted him in the fight. After the death of several drow, among whom was Rizzen, the remaining drow retreated. The saved cleric introduced himself. He and his assistant Rhonwem were carrying scrolls to Pondus Keep, the residence of the other member of their order, Aelbert the Wise, so that the wise man could help them decipher the scrolls. The adventurer agreed to find the assistant who had vanished prior to the drow attack. Also they took the responsibility to locate the scrolls and bring them to Pondus Keep.
