Battle song

Battle song was a divine conjuration spell used by priests devoted to Milil, enabling them to boost the fighting spirit of their allies.^[1]

Effects[]

This spell created a loud ringing song that boosted the combat skills of anyone within a 50‑foot (15‑meter) cube of the caster. Battle song only affected those present when the spell was cast. This spell could be prevented from being cast by hindering the caster's vocal abilities.^[1]

Components[]

This spell required only verbal and somatic components to cast.^[1]

History[]

In the month of Eleasis, of the Year of the Unstrung Harp, 1371 DR, Chief Prelate Dayspring of the Clerical Circle of Ravens Bluff declared it illegal for priests to cast battle song within city limits due to a raging unnatural storm at the time called the Soulstorm, threatening arrest for those that broke this decree.^[2]^{[note 1]}

As the real world's months and the Calendar of Harptos are virtually identical, we can also date all events of the Living City Ravens Bluff as close as an in-universe month.
