The Bavanese language was that spoken by the Bavanese people of the Kingdom of Bawa, of the Island Kingdoms of Kara-Tur.[1]

Notes[]
The proper name of this language is unknown and no details are known about it. It may be the same language as Bawani and/or Bertanese.
"Kara-Tur: Ancestor Feats and Martial Arts Styles" in Dragon #315 notes it would use names from the Philipines or Indonesia. Ronin Challenge bases Lidahan on Indonesian, suggesting a possible, hypothetical connection between them.
