Bearberries were a type of berry in the Sword Coast region that were named after the fact that they were most commonly eaten by bears. They were believed to possess some curative properties.

• Bearberries were valued by some as a tanning agent, typically being used for the tanning of bear and aberration hides into leather.
• Due to their curative properties, some used bearberries in conjunction with honey and distilled water to brew potions of greater healing.
