Belmuth "the Bastard" was the 35th Obarskyr monarch and a king of Cormyr. He took the throne after his half-nephew Baerildo Obarskyr, who was only an infant, was slain by Gorauna. Belmuth's reign likewise ended because of his death in Gorauna's Purplethroat Plague, and his son Sargrannon succeeded him.[1]
