Berdak the Centaur was the proprietor of the Smiling Centaur tavern in Zazesspur in the late 14th century DR.[1][2]

Berdak was on the small side for a centaur, but he was strongly built. He was clean-shaven.[2]

Berdak was typically of a cheerful demeanor—hence, the name of his tavern.[2]
History[]
In the Year of the Staff, 1366 DR, then-adventuress Zaranda Star visited Berdak's tavern with her traveling companions. While there, one of her companions, Father Pelletyr died of heartstop, and Berdak was the first to reach the fallen cleric and the one to declare his death.[2]
