Blackguard's plate was a set of ornate enchanted plate mail that was once worn by a blackguard and later by a death knight they became.[1]

The blackguard's plate possessed a +1 defensive enchantment that not just blocked enemy strikes but also reduced all incoming damage. Its magic also gave the wearer streamer steeled mind that made it harder for the wearer fall under the effects of various mind-altering magics and abilities.[1]
History[]
In the Year of Three Ships Sailing, 1492 DR, blackguard's plate were worn by the guardian death knight called That Which Guards, who, along with That Which Lurks and That Which Watches, guarded the entrance to the chamber of the Bhaalist Murder Tribunal in the Undercellar of Baldur's Gate.[1]
