Blade thirst was a spell that allowed a slashing weapon being wielded by a ranger to gain a +3 bonus and glow with a blue flame.[2]
The earlier version of this spell was an alteration spell called bladethirst. It was usable by wizards and worked on any single-edge blade.[3]
