Blur was an illusion spell that made the contours of a caster "blurry".
Effects[]
When under this spell, the caster would become harder to hit as they did not appear to have a solid form any more.[13][9] Attacks made against a blurred caster by someone who couldn't see it ignored this spell, of course, as they couldn't see the effect.[6][15]
Components[]
The older versions of the spell needed verbal and somatic components,[13][9] but the later version only needed a verbal component.[6][15]
History[]
The spell was attributed to Netherese arcanist Smolyn in −1942 DR and was originally called Smolyn's blurring.[1]
