Blurg was an orog member of the Society of Brilliance in the late 15th century DR.[1]

History[]

Details of Blurg's early life were unknown, though he eventually joined the Society of Brilliance alongside Omeluum, Grazilaxx, Sloopidoop, Y, and Skriss. Blurg and all the other members of the Society went on a pilgrimage to Gravenhollow some years before the demonic crisis that struck the Underdark circa the Year of the Nether Mountain Scrolls, 1486 DR.[3]

As of the Year of Three Ships Sailing, 1492 DR, Blurg was studying alongside Omeluum at the Ebonlake Grotto.[4]

Subsequently, Blurg and Omeluum departed the Ebonlake Grotto and returned to the Lodge of the Society of Brilliance in the Lower City of Baldur's Gate. There he and other members of the Society may have been murdered by Ptaris, a githyanki hatched from an egg acquired by Lady Esther, whose development had been magically accelerated as part of an experiment run by the Society.[4]

Background[]

In Baldur's Gate III, Blurg appears as a hobgoblin. However, his speech still refers to the light vulnerability of orogs, suggesting a late change or incorrect model.[4]
