Bonecarver was the village shaman of the Ice Hunters tribe that dwelled on the isle of Oyaviggaton as of the 1480s DR.[1][note 1]
Personality[]
The shaman was not openly trusting and kept a discerning eye on anyone outside of her tribe. She understood that her people could not thrive under the heel of the white dragon Arauthator, and wished them to flee from Oyaviggation.[2]
Activities[]
Bonecarver lived in a small yurt somewhat separated from the village, decorated with tokens to the tribe's totem spirits and whalebone scrimshaw.[1]
She would openly speak with anyone that was considered an ally or who had earned a place within their tribe.[3] Unfortunately, she was compelled by Arauthator to poison some that ventured to their frozen island, and offered to the ice toads that dwelled in the caves within.[2]
Relationships[]
Bonecarver and the village chief Barking Seal spoke for their people whenever approached by outsiders.[3]
History[]
Some time in the 1480s DR, Barking Seal and Bonecarver greeted a band of adventurers from the Sword Coast at their village.[3]

Notes[]
- ↑ Canon material does not provide a year for the Tyranny of Dragons storyline, but in a forum post, Greg Marks stated it was set in 1489 DR. However, the events of the Tyranny of Dragons are discussed in the novel Archmage, which is set in 1485/1486 DR and has events that necessarily put it after The Rise of Tiamat. Since this inconsistency has not been cleared up, this wiki will use the vague term "1480s DR" for events related to this storyline, though it is most likely no latter than 1486 DR.
