A bow and arrow set was a type of toy designed for children to play pretend and emulate rangers,[1] as well as means by which to teach children proper etiquette regarding ranged weaponry. Despite being supposedly harmless fun, it was generally advised that adults supervise children playing with them.[2]
Description[]
Each set consisted of three bowstrings,[1] five arrows whose tips were padded tips[1][3] by affixed bean bags,[1] and a small bow.[1][3] These bows were crafted with a very resilient willow stem, had a 5 lb (2,300 g) pull,[2] and weighed around 2 to 3 pounds (0.91 to 1.4 kilograms).[1][3]
Availability[]
- Aurora's Whole Realms Catalogue sold bow and arrow sets made in the Dalelands for 2 gold pieces.[2]
- The Toysmiths, a toyshop in Ravens Bluff that was owned and operated by the gnome brothers Gunder and Relvan Gaewilder,[4] sold bow and arrow sets at the same price.[3]
