History[]
In the Year of Shadows, 1358 DR, Brion and the Company of Dawn traveled alongside acquaintances of their leader Thurbrand across Cormyr[1] into the Spiderhaunt Wood. During their journey, Brion argued with and became competitive with the mortal Cyric, an individual whose past and personality stood in stark contrast to his own.[3]
The trek through the woods led to the end of the Company of Dawn, as its members were killed by the monstrous spiders that dwelled within. Brion was impaled upon a giant spider's legs, Cyric looking on unable to help the dying young man.[2] The vision of Brion's last living moments and tragic death haunted the otherwise jaded Cyric for nights to follow.[4]
