Bug was a personal cantrip that beginning wizards could learn.[4][5][6] It summoned an angry crawling insect to a spot chosen by the caster.[1][2][3]
Effects[]
Similar to bee, this cantrip conjured a single, normal-sized, crawling insect named by the caster. It appeared at a spot within 10 feet (3 meters)[note 1] and visible to the caster (that is, it could not be inside a pouch or beneath clothing, for example). The insect was annoyed by the summoning and immediately attacked if it appeared on a living creature.[1][2][3]
Components[]
This cantrip required verbal and somatic components to cast. The caster focused their vision on the spot where the bug was to appear, spoke the type of the insect desired, and made a sliding motion with a forefinger that ended with pointing at the target.[1][2][3]
