Candlefish was a species of tiny fish that inhabited the Lake Glorfindar in the Starmetal Hills and remained active through the winter months under the lake's ice.[1]

These tiny sinuous fishes had reddish-brown scales.[1]
Ecology[]
Candlefish got their names from the fact that they were extremely oily. So much so when they were dried, candlefishes could be lit to burn like candles. They were edible and were a part of a winter's hero's feasts served during the annual Simril celebration in Twilight Tor. The feast also consisted of cooked brown bream, blackjaw, and durgrace.[1]
