Carnival squash was a type of edible brightly-colored fruit, or gourd, found in the Western Heartlands of Faerûn.[1]
Description[]
Carnival squash were large gourds with their hard skin decorated with lengthwise stripes of yellow, orange, and green. They were used in cooking, making rich and filling meals, and often, used as a type of autumnal decoration.[1]
Availability[]
Carnival squashes were grown and sold in the Western Heartlands and the Chionthar Valley and found in the city of Baldur's Gate, as well as such roadside establishments as the Waukeen's Rest inn on the Risen Road. A single 2 pounds (0.91 kilograms) squash was valued at whooping 30 gold pieces.[1]
