She worked for Baron Vilhelm von Stag Falls, against whom she organized an underground resistance within his castle, meager though it was, once he became an undead.

History

After Baron Vilhelm von Stag Falls was turned into an undead creature by the vampire wizard Romanisk Vlaensk, he set about the task of mind-controlling his castle staff. But when he tried this on Cassandra, it failed, though he failed to notice it. Since then, she, and the few guards that managed to endure the effect, secretly worked to undermine him.

Beware! All is not as it seems. Baron von Stag Falls is not the man he once was. Most of the guards are enspelled. They are good men but confused. We fear that a few of them have been won over to the dark side. Find a way out of this room. Come to the store room directly below. You will know it by the cheeses within. Do not go to the Baron. A terrible fate awaits.

When adventurers came to Stag Falls and tried to investigate the castle, Cassandra likely assisted them if they went to the kitchen. She would also likely have aided them if they were imprisoned in the castle, by sneaking them a key and a note, or knocking out the jailer with the help of a few free-willed guards.

A minority of people from Stag Falls thought she should become the new baroness after the destruction of Vilhelm von Stag Falls' undying form, as she'd organized what resistance had been held. Though they were vocal, others thought her not being charmed was merely an accident.
