Castle Krag was a castle built by the drow and was located in Shadowdale in the Dalelands.[1]
At the time when Jyordhan came to power in Shadowdale in 1339 DR,[2] the castle was in a state of ruin, and he had intended for it to be reconstructed to rival Darkhold, but due to a lack of resources and a rebellion, the castle was rebuilt on a much smaller scale. The fortification was eventually set alight and razed by followers of Mane's Band, and, as of 1367 DR, lay in ruins, except for a single tower, with the surrounding area having become overgrown by briar and other undergrowth.[3]
