The Chaos mantle was a psionic mantle that granted ardents and divine minds an array of psionics powers and abilities derived from the universal concept of chaos.[1]

Manifesters of this mantle gained the unique psionic ability to expend their psionic focus to cause greater harm to any creature that wasn't chaotically-aligned with their next attack using a melee weapon, ranged weapon, or spell.[1] Additionally, the psychic aura exuded by divine minds of this mantle granted the manifester and their nearby allies greater resistance towards attacks and effects by nonchaotic creatures.[2]

Novice manifesters were able to sicken foes with destiny dissonance, raise the heat of creatures and objects with matter agitation, and fluster their opponents with distracting shout. Manifesters of some experience could temporarily splinter a mind with personality parasite, inhibit other psionics users with catapsi, and rapidly move across a battlefield with inconstant location. Masters of this mantle obtained the power to call upon the chaotic forces of wild magic with chaos fissure.[1]
