Chitin armor (pronounced: /ˈkaɪtɪn/ KITE-in[2]) was made from the shells of chitinous creatures such as ankheg, giant crabs, or remorhaz. It was flexible and could be comfortable, and was known to be used by aquatic elves and some savage cultures. The armor was valued around 75 gp and weighed 20 lb (10 kg).[1][3]
