Chondalwood is a large forest located in Chondath in the Vilhon Reach. It is also known as Satyrwood.
History
Once home to the green elf realm of Nikerymath.
Inhabitants
The Chondalwood is now the home of several roving tribes of wild elves. Great treants still roam the forest, but mainly occupy the northern border, ever watchful of loggers and poachers. Troops of centaur and satyr still patrol the Old Road, scaring travelers into making haste out of the forest or to go around it. Clans of ghostwise halflings still roam about the forest, never staying in one spot for too long. Various plant creatures such as shambling mounds and tendriculos also live here. All of these intelligent races had one goal in mind, to prevent human encroachment.

Rumors
For many years, the people of the Vilhon Reach have wondered over the existence of an elven realm within the forest.[citation needed]
