Chultan was a language group of south Faerûn[1] and the main language of Chult and Samarach.[2]
Speakers[]
It was mainly spoken by humans of the Chultan ethnicity in Chult and Samarach. Additionally, it was commonly spoken in Calimshan, Lapaliiya, Nimbral, Tashalar, Tharsult, and Thindol.[2]
Tabaxi was the primary language of the Chultan language group.[1] It was characterized by its use of inhaled and exhaled vowels, consonants, clicks, and a singsong cadence.[3]
Script[]
Speakers of Chultan used the Draconic alphabet.[4] An entirely different cuneiform script was adopted by the people of Omu, which came to be known as Old Omuan.[5]
