Cinnamon, sometimes referred to as cinnamon sticks when in its pre-ground form, was a type of spice found in the Realms.[3]

Places in the Realms where cinnamon were known to be found included:
- Cinnamon was sold in Aurora's Whole Realms Catalogue.[2]
- In Loudwater, the local apothecary sold cinnamon.[4]
- In Ravens Bluff, the noble house of Gultoss prominently sold cinnamon.[5]
- In interior Faerûn, cinnamon was common in the republic of Turmish due to imports and trade.[6]
- In south Faerun, the town of Innarlith.[7]
- A species of tea grew on the Chultan Peninsula that was locally brewed with cinnamon, sugar, and milk.[8]
- Cinnamon was exported as far north as the Ten-Towns of Icewind Dale where it was eaten with oatmeal.[9]

- In east Zakhara, one could find cinammon being sold in the open bazaar of Dihliz.[10]
History[]
In 1369 DR, a shipment of exotic foodstuffs that included cinnamon was sent from Luskan to Icewind Dale.[3]
Notable Cinnamon Products[]
- Cinnamon possessed some medicinal properties, namely, it was used as a disinfectant agent, and a treatment for nausea.[11]
- Blood-drops was a dish that cinnamon was regularly used as a spice for.[12]
- Some were known to use cinnamon in cookies.[13][14]
- Dragon's bite, a mixed alcoholic beverage, featured powdered cinnamon.[15]
- Gravia's hot apple cider, a product of the Maxillian Manor orchards in Daggerford, contained two cinnamon sticks per batch.[1]
- Kender pak, a type of kender sweetbread that was baked out of six grains, caramel, and cinnamon.[16]
- Some variations of the mummification process included several preserving and aerobatic plants and substances, such as cinnamon, ginger, rose, myrrh, frankincense, and pomegranate.[17]
- Spiced wine was sometimes flavored with cinnamon.[18]

- Salamantha's Sundown served grilled grouse that was marinated in cinammon, rosemary, and sage.[21]
- The Stone Stallion inn served buttermilk sprinkled with cinnamon.[22]

Trivia[]
- A variety of things in the Realms had a scent reminiscent of cinnamon. These included the body odor of burburs,[24] peranox,[25] and the wood of a vunwood tree.[26]
- Aurora's Whole Realms Catalogue sold cinnamon-scented bath oil, beeswax, and lamp oil.[27]
- The deity Nobanion had a peculiar sentimental fondness for cinnamon.[28]
- The deity Shu's divine realm had the scent of cinnamon wafting through the air.[29]
- The dandyish priest of Selûne Mifano scented his breath with cinnamon.[30]
