Gambling houses, fighting pits, and pleasure gardens filled this ward and were never closed.[1][2]
Inhabitants[]
In addition to the gamblers, thieves, and miscreants who occupied this area, plenty of firenewts populated the Rookery.[1]

This section of the City of Brass was renowned throughout the Plane of Fire for being the most dangerous and lawless part of the city.[2] The Rookery was so dangerous it caused even the Sultan's guards to avoid treading there.[1][2]
