City of Mages was a book written by Savengriff, husband to Aleena Paladinstar of Waterdeep, published in the late 14th century DR.[1]

Aleena Paladinstar and Savengriff were prolific writers. One of the books from under their quills was City of Mages, published in the Year of the Starving, 1381 DR. In the Year of the Ageless One, 1479 DR, Renaer Neverember owned the couple's entire body of mundane works,[2] which included Savengriff's City of Mages.[1]
